Sustainability as a Growth Driver

In the last two years, awareness of sustainability issues has involved all or almost all companies. The pursuit of ever-increasing economic results now requires a conscious attitude towards the impact that an economic activity generates both internally and externally. Competitiveness can no longer be separated from the responsibility that every economic activity assumes towards the environment in which it operates. For these reasons, for the second consecutive year, we have published our Sustainability Report, highlighting the growth drivers that Security Trust wants to invest in.
Young people
Young people are at the core of our growth strategy. We have long been committed to ensuring an inclusive and diverse work environment, crucial to create long-term value. We actively promote youth entrepreneurship by offering training and coaching programs to provide young people with the skills needed to successfully start and manage their own businesses. Over the past year, almost 50% of new hires have been individuals under 30, a figure that highlights our commitment to valuing young people as a growth driver for our company. We also collaborate with schools and universities, providing lab spaces and promoting internships and apprenticeships to support young people’s entry into the workforce.
Training
For us, training our staff is essential. We believe that improving employees’ skills, developing leadership abilities, and promoting inclusion are key factors for a company’s success. For this reason, we have defined and will continue to implement specific training policies aimed at promoting equal and inclusive employment, supporting employee well-being, and contributing to social and economic integration. We also have an anti-corruption training program, completed by 100% of the executive body members and employees, to educate on the dangers of corruption and how to prevent it. To promote gender equality and female empowerment, we offer targeted coaching programs, also addressed to young people to promote youth entrepreneurship. Additionally, all employees working in ESG areas participate in training courses to ensure a responsible and future-oriented corporate culture.
Environmental
We are aware of the importance of protecting the environment and the implications our actions have on it. For this reason, we are committed to integrating sustainable practices into every aspect of our activities. We constantly work to reduce environmental impact, improve energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and promote circular economy models. In line with global climate change objectives, we have adopted policies for managing greenhouse gas emissions, monitoring both direct (Scope 1) and indirect (Scope 2) emissions. A concrete example of our commitment is the project for our new headquarters, which will be completely energy-independent, using renewable sources to reduce energy consumption. Additionally, we monitor water consumption and waste management, adopting circular practices that promote recycling and reduce environmental impact, to contribute to sustainability and the protection of natural resources for future generations.
